Mohammed Salah has confirmed he asked Jose Mourinho to leave Chelsea.
The Egyptian revealed in his first Fiorentina press conference that he told Blues boss Jose Mourinho he wanted to quit the club.
Salah was a pawn in Chelsea’s £26.8million deadline day purchase of Juan Cuadrado, with the 22-year-old heading to Italy initially on a six-month loan.
As quoted on the Sky Sports website, he said: “At the moment I don’t intend to return to Chelsea.
“I want to do well with Fiorentina. I spoke with Mourinho and told him I wanted to leave Chelsea and he was fine.”
