There has been some reports which have revealed French striker Olivier Giroud has confirmed he is close to agreeing a new deal with Arsenal.
The French international striker has always maintained he wants to stay at the Emirates.
And he is set to be rewarded for his displays since joining the Londoners in 2012 from Montepllier with him netting 17 goals in his first season before going on to claim 22 goals last term.
Arsene Wenger has relied heavily on the forward and is now willing to give the 27-year-old an extension to his current contract.
As quoted on the SportsDirectNews website, he said: “I have a contract for another two years, but we are negotiating an extension.
“So far I’m happy here. I still have a lot of things to achieve [with Arsenal].”
