Sergio Ramos has reportedly been cleared to join Manchester United, according to the Metro website.
Ramos is thought to have expressed his desire to leave for United on a number of occasions, but has been prevented from doing so by Madrid.
However, according to Spanish journalist Pablo Garcia Cuervo, Madrid President Florentino Perez has changed his mind on the whole situation, and is now willing to sanction Ramos’ departure.
‘Sergio has made his mind up. Florentino also wants Sergio to leave, but Real Madrid want it to seem like Sergio is the one who wants to leave because he isn’t very ‘madridista’,’ Cuervo told radio Marca.
‘If Florentino Pérez wanted to keep Casillas, he hid it very well. The same is happening with Ramos.’
