German outfit Borussia Monchengladbach are being linked with a permanent move for Chelsea’s on-loan defender Andreas Christensen.
The young Dane will be returning to the league Champions after spending two years on loan in Germany and questions are being asked about his future.
Christensen is apparently keen on showing the Blues boss Antonio Conte, that he would be a good choice to replace departing legend John Terry, however, the signs are that the Italian will be dipping into the transfer market for an experienced defender.
This has promoted the Bundesliga side to declare their interest in taking the 21-year-old back to Germany on a permanent basis.
A lot will depend on what Christensen himself wants, he may well choose to stay and fight for a first-team spot, on the other hand, he may think that his chances are limited and that he would be better off in Germany where he is far more likely to get regular football.
The fact that he appears keen to establish himself shows his confidence and that could appeal to Conte. what is for sure, is that his future will be decided one way or another this summer.
