Chelsea are reportedly ready to hand Jose Mourinho a two-year extension to his current deal at Stamford Bridge, according to the Metro.
Mourinho has two years left to run on the four-year deal that he signed when he returned to the west London outfit in 2013.
However, reports says Chelsea are now ready to offer their coach an extension.
Mourinho had earlier this year indicted that he saw himself staying at the Stamford Bridge outfit for the long-term after leaving the club in 2007 by mutual consent.
‘I’m not here thinking about my next move because I don’t want to have a next move. I will have a next move if and when Chelsea decides it’s time for that,’ he said.
‘I’m here to stay. I belong to Chelsea, Chelsea belong to me. I gave a lot to Chelsea in the past, but they also gave a lot to me. This is a different professional relationship.’
