Juan Cuadrado has the backing of Jose Mourinho and will still be a Chelsea player next season, according to his agent.
The winger only moved to Stamford Bridge in January following a £26million move from Fiorentina but has been heavily linked with a move away from the west London club this summer.
However, the 27-year-old’s agent has rubbished reports that he will leave the Premier League champions this summer and insists he wants to stay.
‘I read with amazement in some English and Italian newspaper about imaginary figures and agents associated with Cuadrado, so I think it’s right to clarify the situation,’ said Alessandro Lucci on the Sky Sports website.
‘Cuadrado is a Chelsea player, strongly backed by Mourinho – who believes in him. Juan is fine in London and is very likely to remain at Chelsea. He has interest from other teams but I will repeat – Juan is a Chelsea player.’
