Reports have claimed Arsenal are closing in on a deal for Anderlecht midfielder Dennis Praet.
Praet, 20, has been repeatedly linked with a move to the Emirates in recent months, and according to reports, Arsene Wenger is a big admirer of the young Belgian.
The Belgians ruled out any possible sale last summer, but Praet’s agent Jaques Lichtenstein has claimed his client has nothing to gain by staying at Anderlecht.
As quoted on the Daily Star website, he said: “What can he gain by spending another season at Anderlecht?
“He can join the likes of Arsenal or Valencia, Liverpool and Atletico Madrid. He won’t play for just anybody though.
“Dennis is not far away from being at the level of Arsenal, where they would allow him a year to settle down.”
