The agent of Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel has dismissed rumours linking his client with a summer move and insists he will remain to fight for his place at Stamford Bridge.
Since joining Chelsea in 2006 from Norwegian side Lyn, Mikel has been a mainstay in the Blues midfield despite reports that his style of play is not good enough for the attacking flair of the club.
And some reports in the media claimed that he was on his way to Inter Milan, as they look to add a few more Premier League stars to their squad.
However Mikel’s agent John Shittu claims a move to Italy is not on the agenda for his client, according to the SportsDirectNews website.
“It’s all part of the usual transfer speculation.
“As far as I’m concerned, nothing like that will be happening. It is only a rumour and we heard a similar story about him going to Galatasaray last season.”
