Reports have claimed Liverpool are chasing highly-rated Leeds Midfielder Lewis Cook, according to the Daily Star.
The teenage midfielder has emerged as one of the hottest prospects in Britain despite his side’s struggles in the Championship this season.
Cook is now set to find himself at the centre of a huge transfer tug-of-war this summer as the top flight rivals do battle for his signature.
Leeds have slapped a £12m price-tag on Cook’s head and a club source said: “Lewis knows he will have to leave Leeds to fulfil his ambitions.
“All the big clubs have been keeping close tabs on him and want him, so he will have his pick of the best and has a big decision to make.
“He’s wonderful talent and Leeds have no chance of keeping him at Elland Road. It’s just a matter of when, not if, he leaves and it should be quite a mad scramble this summer.”
