Liverpool have been pursuing a move for Turkish defender Caner Erkin and his agent has revealed that his client has received offers from two English clubs.
The Turkish international, who is currently plying his trade with Fenerbahce, has been in sparkling form this campaign with the club top of the Super Lig.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is eager to bring a new experienced full-back to Anfield this month and has been considering a cut-price move for Erkin with his contract set to expire in the summer.
Erkin’s agent Batur Altıparmak revealed English clubs are monitoring the progress of his client.
As quoted on the SportsDirectNews website, he said: “A few clubs have made offers for Caner, two clubs from England have made a bid and he has also received offers from Spain and Italy.
“We have received offers but have not held direct talks with any club yet, first of all we are going to listen to Fenerbahce’s offer.”
