Manchester United have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Colombia World Cup star James Rodriguez.
Rodriguez has lit up the World Cup in Brazil, playing an influential role in helping his country reach the last-eight.
And his agent, Aytekin Erayabakan, has fuelled speculation over his client’s future at current club Monaco.
European champions Real Madrid were understood to be leading the chase to sign the £45m-rated Rodriguez, but Erayabakan revealed that there are a number of other clubs interested.
As quoted on the Daily Star website, he said: “I can assure you that Real Madrid and Barcelona are not the only clubs who want him.
“There are, of course, Napoli, but I do not want to mention names.
I’ll shut up now.
“In recent seasons, his value has skyrocketed, so if someone wants to take him from Monaco, they must spend upwards of £45m.”
