Liverpool are on alert after Mario Gotze’s agent has criticised Bayern Munich for not giving the World Cup winner enough opportunities last season.
Despite that hefty price-tag, Gotze has found himself on the bench far more often than he would like with the German champions.
The 23-year-old scored 14 goals under Pep Guardiola last term but his agent, Volker Struth, has hit out at the Bayern boss.
Struth told Bild am Sonntag: “Of course I would have liked if Mario had felt more support in one or two situations.
“I am fully convinced that when Mario feels this support, it is easier for him to show his incredible potential.
“Then he is one of the best players in the world.”
