Spanish Paper Marca is claiming that Liverpool made an ambitious move to sign Monaco teenager, Kylian Mbappe.
Per the source, Liverpool made an early bid, hoping to beat their rivals to the signature of the teenage striker.
Mbappe is the hottest youngster in football right now, after leading AS Monaco to the league title in France as well as helping them reach the UEFA Champions League semifinal.
AS Monaco president, Dimitri Rybolovlev reiterated that they would do whatever it takes to keep the player for another season, as they hope to retain the French league title as well as make another go at the Champions League trophy.
It is believed that Kylian Mbappe wants to move to Real Madrid, although the French prodigy has continually reiterated his desire to focus on Monaco for now, but with the transfer windows approaching, he may be considering his options.
Mbappe has netted 26 times and provided 14 assists in his 43 league games this season.
Jurgen Klopp is still one win away from securing Champions League football but has begun plans to add quality players to his squad.
