According to reports from France, Chelsea have joined the race to sign Monaco teenage striker Kylian Mbappe this summer.

Mbappe has been a revelation this season after breaking into the Monaco first team. He has plundered in 22 goals in 36 games this season.

Manchester united are believed to have tabled a bid of £80 Million for the Frenchman, but it was turned down by Monaco.

Mbappe is believed to want another year in Monaco, but a huge offer would certainly turn his head. Chelsea are now confident they can land him ahead of their rivals.

Antonio Conte wants Mbappe to replace Eden Hazard when the Belgian finally moves to Real Madrid.
The 18 years old currently has a contract until 2019, but Monaco’s sporting director has admitted that the player has his price, even though they would like him to stay for one more season.

According to him, if an offer that meets his release clause is received and the player wants to move, they will not stand on his way.
