Arsenal may complete their first summer transfer within the next few days. The Gunners have been busy talking to the clubs of their transfer targets this summer, and that work is set to pay off soon.
According to the media, Barcelona has agreed to sell their midfielder Arda Turan to the Gunners this summer, and all that is left is for both teams to agree on a fee.
Turan has been interesting Arsene Wenger since when he was playing for Atletico Madrid. The Frenchman tried to sign the midfielder on a temporary basis when Barcelona’s transfer ban stopped the midfielder from playing for them, but the Catalans refused to allow him to leave.
However, the Turkish international has not had an enjoyable Barcelona career as he has failed to adapt to the team’s style of play as well as fail to impress many of the club’s fans. He made just 15 starts in all competitions last season and was heavily criticised for his performances.
He is said to have agreed to personal terms with the Gunners and is hoping his club and the Londoners will reach an agreement soon. Barcelona is demanding £26 million for him, but the Gunners are currently unwilling to meet that price.
