Arsenal and Chelsea may have found a good way to sell players to each other. The two Premier League giants are not willing to allow any of their stars cross to the other even when the players are keen on swapping teams. The last time a player moved across was when Petr Cech swapped Stamford Bridge for the Emirates, and that was a peaceful one as Chelsea fans understood that he was too good to stay on the bench.
However, we may see a scenario like the one that played out when Ashley Cole joined Chelsea and William Galas moved to north London.
Sky Italia is claiming that Arsenal have asked Chelsea to offer them, Matic, if they are interested in signing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Both players are looking to move on and secure more playing times for their respective careers, and this could represent good business for the teams as well.
Matic is sceptical about his chances next season as the Blues close in on the signing of AS Monaco’s Tiemoue Bakayoko, while Arsenal’s continuous pursuit of Thomas Lemar appears to show a lack of faith in the Ox.
However, it is unlikely that Chamberlain would get the first team football he craves for at Chelsea.
