Torino striker Andrea Belotti, is set to reject a move to the Premier League and remain in Italy. The Italian striker has been phenomenal for his team as he has contributed 28 goals in just 34 games. This form has seen him linked with a move to English trio of Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool. But the Italian’s coach Mihajlovic believes the player loves it in Italy and would not be keen on a move abroad.
Belotti has been subject of serious interest from Chelsea whose Italian manager sees him as a credible replacement for Diego Costa if he leaves Stamford Bridge this summer.
Torino’s president had earlier in the week stated that he does not believe the player will move this summer, referencing the fact that only a few club can afford his £100 million release clause. Torino are adamant that the only time they can discuss the 23 year old’s transfer is when a club has met Belotti’s release clause and the player has indicated the willingness to move.
Arsenal want Belotti to fill the void that would be left when Alexis Sanchez leaves the Emirate this summer.
Chelsea however do not consider Belotti as their first option, as they have prioritised the re-signing of Romelu Lukaku and would only go for Belotti if they fail to land the Belgian.
