Arsenal’s quest to bolster their squad this summer will come at a huge cost as they risk breaking the Premier League’s spending limit. To avoid this, they will have to get rid of some of their star players, and one such player is Alex Oxlaide-Chamberlain.
The England midfielder is admired by Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp. The German wanted to sign him earlier before settling for the signature of Mohammed Salah from AS Roma.
Chamberlain has been left frustrated after the Gunners abandoned plans to offer him a new deal in recent weeks. He currently has just one year left on his Arsenal deal, and talks of a new deal appeared to be making progress after Arsene Wenger claimed that they would like to keep the core of their English players.
However, the Independent is reporting that the Gunners are willing to sell Chamberlain to Liverpool for £25 million.
With the signing of Mohammed Salah, Liverpool now has an abundance of attacking talents, it would be interesting to see if they would be willing to spend that amount for another attacking player.
