Arsenal and Liverpool target gets huge injury setback

Arsenal and Liverpool target Nakir Fakir, hopes of a January move to the Premier League appear to over after he suffered a serious knee injury while on international duty for France.

The French midfielder limped off after just 14 minutes of Friday night’s 1-0 win in Portugal.

It’s feared Fekir, 22, has sustained serious ligament damage and could be sidelined for at least six months, which would scupper any potential switch to England in the new year.

The Lyon star, who has been linked with Liverpool and Arsenal, admitted earlier this week that joining Manchester United would be a “dream”.

It is a shame that the youngster has suffered such a horrible injury, but he is young enough to come back and maybe one day he will get his dream move.
