Manchester United and Arsenal fans can stop dreaming about the signing of Real Madrid midfielder Isco, as the Spaniard nears a new deal with the Spanish giants.
Isco’s Real Madrid future was thrown into major doubt as he entered the final 12 months of his deal with no signs of a new deal on offer from the European champions. However, after starring for Real Madrid in the second half of last season and putting in an inspired performance for them in the UEFA Super Cup match against Manchester United on Tuesday, the club are set to offer him a new long term contract.
This dashes the hopes of Arsenal and Manchester United who were hoping to seal a cut-price deal for the midfielder this summer.
Isco spoke to reporters after his man of the match performance against the Red Devils and told them that a new contract is “very close” to being finalized.
Isco has been an Arsene Wenger target since he was at Valencia, and the French man was hoping to finally get his man this summer.
