In what could be the biggest swap deal ever in the Premier League, Arsenal and Manchester City are considering swapping Alexis Sanchez and Sergio Aguero.
Manchester City is keen on adding Alexis Sanchez to their attacking lineup, and the Chilean is also interested in reuniting with Pep Guardiola who managed him during his time at Barcelona. But Arsenal are determined to hold on to the hitman and have already ruled out the possibility of selling him to a direct rival if he decides not to stay.
However, the press is reporting that the rivals are discussing the possibility of swapping both players. Sergio Aguero scored 33 goals for Manchester City last season but has struggled to adapt to the Spaniard’s style of play. He also spent some time on the substitute bench last season, as Guardiola preferred to start the dynamic Gabriel Jesus.
Arsenal would love to have a striker of Aguero’s quality, but it is questionable whether the Argentine would be willing to move to the Emirates, bearing in mind that they would not be playing in the Champions League next season.
