Arsenal and Manchester united have been battling to secure the service of AS Monaco’s Brazilian midfielder, Fabinho. However, the two Premier League teams now face an outside threat to their proposed move for the player.
Fabinho has been in fine form this season, and has been instrumental to Monaco’s success this season. The French team are on the verge of winning a league and Champions League double this season, they are also one of the highest scoring teams in Europe’s top leagues and Fabinho has been a major contributor.
Manchester United have been tracking him for a long time now, and were believed to be planning a move for him, before Arsenal joined the race for his signature.
Fresh reports from Italy are now claiming that Napoli is planning to steal the player from under the noses of the Premier League duo. Apparently, Napoli are prepared to offer £30 million for the services of the player, they hope that would tempt Monaco to sell the player to them before the transfer window gets busy.
Fabinho is currently contracted to Monaco until the summer of 2021, and would not leave on a cheap.
