Arsenal and Manchester United may have given up on signing AS Monaco versatile midfielder Fabinho.
The Brazilian was one of the top performers for the French champions as they won the Ligue 1 title last season, and his performances have attracted the attention of top European teams.
However, it appears as though Monaco is not ready to let another of their star player leave. The Municipal club has already lost Bernardo Silva, and Valerie Germain, the future of Kylian Mbappe, Thomas Lemar, and Benjamin Mendy is also still not sorted out yet, and AS Monaco fear that a mass exodus of their players could see them struggle next season.
Jose Mourinho is the English manager with the strongest interest in Fabinho, as he wants to exploit the player’s versatility to use him as both his holding midfielder and right back in different situations.
Arsenal has reportedly made inquiries about his availability as well as that of his teammate Benjamin Mendy’s. However, with Monaco currently unwilling to let Fabinho leave, Arsene has turned all his energy to try and sign his teammate, Thomas Lemar.
