The North London derby is about to be rekindled, this time off the football pitch.
Online media is reporting that Arsenal have joined the race to sign Tottenham’s long term target, Wilfried Zaha.
The Ivory Coast international winger has been in inspiring form for the Eagles this season, and looks set to join a bigger Premier League team this summer.
He starred in victories over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge with a goal and an assist, and also outshined Arsenal’s wingers as Crystal Palace defeated the Gunners 3-0 during the course of the season.
He has six goals and nine assists in 33 appearance for the Londoners this season.
Per the source Arsene Wenger is willing to use some of his players as a sweetener for the deal to go through. Wenger is looking to add either Carl Jenkinson or Alex Oxlaide-Chamberlain to the deal.
Jenkinson has played a very limited role for Arsenal this season, and looks to be on his way out of the Emirates Stadium, but he could be used by Arsene Wenger in signing Zaha. Oxlaide-Chamberlain’s form has improved recently, but the player is entering the final year of his current deal, and the Gunners have not shown any willingness to offer him a new deal.
