Arsenal’s quest to get rid of Spanish attacker Lucas Perez is taking a similar turn to that of Diego Costa at Chelsea.
The Gunners have placed the attacker on the market after just one season at the Emirates following a very public falling out with Arsene Wenger.
The Gunners collected his squad number and gave it to new signing Alexandre Lacazette and the attacker has been unsettled since that time.
Newcastle was interested in signing him, but he has insisted that the only team he wants to play for are his former side Deportivo La Coruna.
But Deportivo is making an offer that does not satisfy the Gunners’ demand and they are looking to spark a bidding war.
Sevilla has entered the race for Perez today but he has informed the Gunners that he would only join Deportivo.
Deportivo had been looking to get him on loan, but they might be willing to spend some cash on him now.
