Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has made Sevilla star Federico Fazio a priority signing as he seeks to replace the departing Thomas Vermaelen
The 27-year-old is on the radar of several European clubs following a series of classy displays at the heart of Sevilla’s defence over the past few seasons.
Previously monitored by Southampton, Everton and Liverpool, Fazio’s form this season has boosted Sevilla’s bid for a top-four place and helped them win the Europa League.
Fazio joined Sevilla in 2007 from Argentine side Ferro Carril Oeste and has impressed during his time there.
