Arsenal boss to hand summer deal to Englishman after giants announce target can leave

There has been some reports which have claimed Arsenal could make a summer move for Joleon lescott, after it was announced he is a free agent.

The defenders contract expires at the end of thus month and there is no chance he is getting a new deal, as boss Manuel Pellegrini looks to freshen up the squad.

And after the title celebrations, the defender tweeted: “Would like to thank everyone connected to the club it’s been a fantastic period of my career and life.”

Now the Daily Star website have revealed City have let him, and a number of other players leave, which could mean Wenger makes a move to try and sign him up.
