Arsenal target, Ryad Mahrez is likely to remain at the King Power Stadium beyond this summer as the Foxes continue to hold firm on their demand of £50 million.
The Algerian has been a target for Arsenal over the past two seasons, and he is also keen to move to the Emirates, but he signed an extension to his current deal with the former Premier League winners last summer and has three more years left to run, which places them in a strong position to ask for what they want.
Arsenal’s first choice is AS Monaco’s Thomas Lemar, and the Gunners would only move for Mahrez if they fail to ultimately prise Lemar away from the French champions.
Leicester City owners are determined to get all they can from selling Mahrez who is one of their prized jewels. The Thai businessmen rejected a bid of £20 million from AS Roma who wants Mahrez to replace Liverpool’s Mohammed Salah, and even though the Italians are planning to return with an improved £30 million bid, it is believed that would still not be enough to convince them.
