Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs target open to Premier League move.

He has been the subject of a lot of speculation in recent weeks and looks certain to leave his current club Athletic Bilbao. But big striker Fernando Llorente has stated that he would be open to a move to the English game, but not until next summer.

The Athletic Bilbao forward is a free agent when his contract expires at the end of the season and has been heavily linked with a move to Italian giants Juventus.

But speaking on Revista de La Liga, the Spain international said he is a fan of English football and would be open to offers of a switch to the Premier League.

“It is true that we are approaching the date when I can sign for other clubs,” Llorente said.

“I’m trying to keep it so that it is something which is managed by my brother and my representatives. That leaves me to focus in my football and help my team, Athletic, and nothing else, maintain focus.

“I really like the Premier League and I’ve mentioned on more than one occasion that it’s a league which appeals to me a lot.

“You never know. It’s one good option in terms of my future but we’ll have to wait until the end of the season to see what happens.” (Sky Sports)

Although there is the possibility that he could leave this coming January, it is very unlikely that Bilbao would let their star man go half way through the season and would prefer that he stayed until the summer just in case he decides to change his mind.

However, it seems that his heart is set on a move and all clubs interested in him will be looking forward to the battle to acquire his service.

Arsenal need to consider ONLY players who can hit the ground running, ENOUGH of the up and coming ‘great players’ who turn out to be duds and then need time to adjust to Premier League etc. etc, etc. B***s***
All this is obvious as is daylight and it is not that A. Wenger and the board need to know this. They do know, yet continue to disinvest by buying cheap.
Biz rule – You get what you pay for. Pay cheap – you get cheap. GOT IT?
