Borussia Dortmund have signed midfielder Gonzalo Castro from Bayer Leverkusen, as they prepare for life without Arsenal bound Ilkay Gundogan.
The German international, 27, has been at the BayArena club for ten years but on Sunday signed a four-year deal to join Dortmund, who will be managed next season by Thomas Tuchel.
He is tipped to be the replacement for Gundogan, who is on his way out of the cub this summer with the Emirates on his list of possible destinations.
“I wanted to give a new impetus to my career,” Castro told the club’s official website.
“But It was no easy decision.
“I had a fantastic time in Leverkusen all these years. The club will be in my heart forever.”
