Arsenal has entered the race to sign Belgian league top scorer, Henry Onyekuru.
The 19-year-old Nigerian has been in sparkling form for his club KAS Eupen this season. He has scored 20 top flight goals this season and currently tops the scorer’s chart in the Belgian league.
His performances have drawn the interest of several top European teams this season, and he is set to leave the Belgian club he helped get promoted to the top flight last season.
Arsene Wenger has been receiving glowing reports about the Nigerian’s exploits in Belgium and is said to be impressed.
Southampton, Everton and West Brom were the first English clubs to take notice of the player, and are said to be making their own plans.
He has already rejected moves to top Belgian sides, Anderlecht, and Club Brugge, and is adamant that he will be moving to the Premier League this summer.
His representative spoke to Sky Sports recently, and confirmed that his client would be playing in the Premier league next season, and also informed the media that some English teams are very serious about signing the attacker.
