Chelsea and Liverpool may lose out of signing Schalke left back Sead Kolasinac. Reports claim that Arsenal have moved past their rivals in the race to sign the Bosnian.
The 23 year old has recovered from an injury that almost ended his career last season to become one of the best left backs in Europe. He has had a stunning campaign despite his club’s struggles this season.
Arsenal are said to be closer to him after they offered him a deal that would make him one of their highest earners next season. The Gunners are prepared to sell Kieran Gibbs and make room for Kolasinac.
Liverpool were thought of as the easiest choice for the player who was team mate with Liverpool’s Joel Matip last season. The Reds also believed the appeal of playing with Jurgen Klopp will entice him to sign for them.
However, the players representatives are said to have no favourites and are open to joining any team that offers them the best deal.
The Gunners have boosted their chances of signing the defender by reportedly offering Alexis Sanchez a new deal worth around £300,000 per week, this will show the left back that they are a big team that is serious about growing.
