Arsenal’s bid to sign young French Midfielder, Corentin Tolisso has been dealt a double blow.
Olympique Lyon has slapped a £54 million price tag on the youngster which the Gunners consider slightly over-value, and now AC Milan and Inter Milan have joined the race for the player’s signature.
Tolisso has had a great season that saw him win a French cap. He scored fifteen goals and provided eight more in all competition this season for Lyon.
He was courted by the top European sides including Juventus, Napoli, PSG, and Bayer Leverkusen. But when Lyon set his asking price at £54 million, several teams left the chase leaving only the Gunners as the serious suitors for his signature.
However, with the influx of new Chinese cash, the two Milan teams have joined the chase as they look to rebuild their teams ahead of the new season.
Arsene Wenger is set to remain at the Emirates after securing another FA Cup for the Gunners this season and wants to add Tolisso to his team for next season.
Lyon is confident they can get their desired transfer fee especially now that there are more teams coming for the player.
