Arsenal face three days of intense transfer pressure from rivals

Manchester City is stopping at nothing to sign Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal before the close of this transfer window.

The Citizens have made an audacious move for the Chilean after offering England international Raheem Sterling plus cash for the want away South American.

Raheem Sterling has been City’s most outstanding player this season having rescued them in their last two games, but he has been told he can leave and it is understood that the England man is okay with the decision. He started his career at QPR and is happy to return to London.

Alexis Sanchez has asked for permission to leave Chile’s camp as he looks to sort out his club future.

The attacker is one of many Arsenal players who have just 12 months left on their current deal and he has refused to sign an extension worth £300,000 per week claiming he wants to compete in the Champions League this season.

Pep Guardiola is also desperate for a reunion with Sanchez and hopes the Gunners would accept their latest offer instead of losing the Chilean for free next season.

The Gunners remain resolute about keeping all their stars but they are yet to accept or reject this offer from Manchester City.
