Reports coming from the Emirates indicate that Chile U17 captain Marcelo Allende, has been offered a contract at Arsenal.

The 18 year old has been on trial at the Emirates and is said to have impressed the Gunners who could not offer him a contract before now, since he had not yet to turned 18.

However, the teenager became 18 years last weekend and the Gunners are now set to offer him a deal.
Allende comes from the same soccer academy that groomed Alexis Sanchez and is said to have been nicknamed “Chile” by the Gunners coaching crew and fellow youth players.

Arsenal will be eager to get this deal over the line so they can focus on other first team players whose future needs to be sorted out quickly.

Jack Wilshere, Kieran Gibbs, Alex Oxlaide-Chamberlain are all in line for new deals as their current ones expire very soon.

They also have to sort out the future of Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil as well as Arsene Wenger. The coach has indicated the readiness to stay but is yet to sign a new contract.
