Barcelona’s move for Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin may lie in the hand of rivals Real Madrid.
Barcelona have been attempting to re-sign Bellerin who graduated from their La Masia academy for two summers now, but have not been successful. The Spain international who is arguably the fastest player in the world is also not keen on a return to Catalonia and signed an extension to his Arsenal contract last summer.
The new deal, which ties him at the Emirates until the summer of 2023, has given the gunners the power to ask for a huge transfer fee if a deal were to be done.
Spanish media are reporting that the Gunners would only allow Bellerin leave if they can land Real Madrid defender, Danilo.
Danilo has been used sparingly by Zinedine Zidane this season with the French man preferring to play Daniel Carvajal. This had limited Danilo’s outing with the first team to just 14 starts.
Real Madrid value Danilo at £17 million, while the Gunners hope to make at least £35 million from the sale of Bellerin.
