Arsenal have been given a boost in their pursuit of AC Milan starlet Stephan El Shaarawy after the Italians admitted that they could be ‘convinced to cash in’ on the gifted little star.
The forward, 20, shot to prominence last season bagging 18 goals, and although he faded towards the back end of the campaign, El Shaarawy is still regarded as one of the hottest prospects in Europe.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger IS known to hold an interest in the Italian, and Milan chief Adriano Galliani has hinted the Serie A giants could be forced to sell their star in order to balance the books.
‘He is the player who has the biggest value in the market,’ Galliani said.
‘The price? It has not yet been fixed, but I cannot say that he is unsellable, because in modern football that is a difficult word to say.’ (The Metro)
The Gunners would love to add the striker to the squad and considering he is young enough for Wenger to work with, he could be heading to the Emirates in the coming weeks if Arsenal offer the right price.
