It now appears to be just a matter of time before Arsenal finally agree to allow one of their best players to leave to join one of their biggest rivals.
Reports in the English media today are claiming that Man City boss Pep Guardiola has asked the board to sanction a January move for Alexis Sanchez following the injury to Gabriel Jesus.
Apparently, Guardiola has requested a transfer budget of £50 Million this winter with £25 Million earmarked for Sanchez, a figure that the Gunners will reluctantly agree to.
Guardiola is set to meet chief exec Ferran Soriano and director of football Txiki Begiristain as early as today to finalise their January transfer plans.
City are reluctant to splash out £25 Million on a player they can get for free in the summer, however, they realise that the injury to Jesus has changed the situation,
This is going to happen, Sanchez will become a Man City player before the end of the month, it makes almost zero sense for it not to happen.
Arsenal now knows that it is very likely that Sanchez will be signing for City in the summer and to ignore that fact would simply mean they miss out on £25 Million, something they will be loathed to do.
Do they see Sanchez leave for Cty for nothing in six months or do they accept £25 Million now? a no brainer really.
