Arsenal are reportedly on the verge of losing out on Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain, as Juventus are closing on an instalment-based deal for La Liga star.
According to Italian paper Gazzetta dello Sport, Madrid are to allow Juve to pay for the striker in three or four instalments following a meeting between the two clubs.
The only remaining sticking point on the switch is the Argentina international’s transfer fee.
Madrid are currently thought to be holding out for €30m, but Juventus have only so far offered €22m.
However, the clubs could be prepared to agree a compromise of €25m – a figure Arsenal would be unlikely to stretch to given their previous transfer dealings. (The Metro)
There has been reports that the Gunners are willing to offer the Madrid striker massive wages to tempt him to the Emirates, but it seems their patients will be their downfall as Juve are looking to get a deal done as soon as possible.
