Arsenal has made contact with Schalke left back Sead Kolasinac. The Bosnian is in hot demand with several European sides rumoured to have offered deals to him.
Chelsea tried to sign him for £5 Million during the January transfer window, but were knocked back by Schalke who were confident the player would sign a new deal and they would get a higher transfer fee from suitors. However, the player has since refused to sign a new deal and looks set to leave the club on a free transfer.
Liverpool were in pole position to sign him, after they thought they could use Joel Matip to convince him to join them, but the player has kept his options open. Everton are rumoured to have offered him a deal worth £100,000 per week to sign for them, but the player is still considering other offers.
Arsenal have joined the list of English teams trying to sign him. The Gunners are planning to add at least four players to their squad this season, and the left full back position is one of them.
Nacho Monreal has been the club’s first choice left back, but has been culpable for a number of errors this season, the club now wants a more reliable player in that position and Wenger believes Sead Kolasinac is that player.
