Arsenal have joined Brighton, Southampton and Swansea in monitoring 20-year-old Dutch forward Alessio Da Cruz and may make an offer for his services as early as January, according to the British media.
Da Cruz currently plays for Italian Serie B side Novara, he has been in excellent form scoring five times in just 12 starts.
The youngster moved to Italy following a spell with FC Twente where he played 29 times in the second division, making 21 starts and scoring five goals.
At just 10 years of age, he was signed by Ajax before joining Almere City and then on to Twente, where he progressed through the ranks up to the first team.
It is noticeable that he never really made the breakthrough in Dutch football after so much promise, but it says a lot about his character that he has since prospered in Italy displaying the quality he clearly has.
Given the right circumstances Da Cruz will flourish, question is, is the Premier League that platform and Arsenal in particular?
