Arsenal line up brilliant £6 million bargain?

There have been some rumours emerge which suggest that Arsenal are set to reignite their interest in £6 million rated Birmingham stopper Jack Butland, as Arsene Wenger looks to add another good stopper to his squad in this month’s transfer window.

Birmingham are bracing themselves for bids from the Gunners, Fulham and Southampton after all three clubs checked out Butland’s situation.

Ideally Arsene Wenger wants an experienced stopper but £6m-rated England keeper Butland, 19, has been on Wenger’s radar for some time.

Wenger needs some good competition for current number one Wojciech Szczesny and see’s the highly-rated Butland as the idea man to challenge or even replace the big pole. And considering he would only cost £6 million, it would be a bargain in the long-run as the lad is tipped for the top by everybody, and will surely be an England regular in the future.

Arsenal needs a competitive edge and its time they start getting the right people. as a supporter I am so frustreted by the lack of transfer activity. Get Fellani, Falcao Adrian Lopez and some defenders. Sagna runs out of ideas, our central defence is never sure and midfield lacks a defensive player!!!!!!!!!!pliz

is 6 million really cheap for a goal keeper d future england no 1,i dont thick so.

Buy him if he’s good, i am certain Arsenal hv done their home work, what i know is the current goalkeepers are not good enough and highly unreliable as i have noticed that when a striker breaches our weak defence or shoots ur sure its a goal, this area/goalkeeping is surely a major weakness to be adressed swiftly.

its no coincidence arsenal has Ox-Chambo, Rambo, Jenkinson, Wilshere, Gibbs, and now Walcott all home grown and yet to reach their peak age in football career. Plus another highly tipped English stopper? Why the bashing guys? Is this plan really that frustrating? Arsene is man with plans and future, unlike results after results. Look at the big picture before bashing on your own clubs’s coach
