Arsenal has an advantage in their pursuit of Udinese midfielder Jakob Jankto after it emerged the youngster loves the English top flight.
Arsenal has made just two signings so far, and none of them is a midfielder, but Arsene Wenger reportedly knows he needs at least one more midfielder as he looks to convert Mohammed Elneny to a centre back.
Jankto enjoyed his breakthrough season with Udinese last season, and many European sides took notice of his exploits in his club’s midfield.
His agent has come out to say that the Gunners have been in touch. He even went on to suggest his client would rather move to the Premiership than any other league, opening up an opportunity for Arsenal to make a move for him.
However, he was quick to note that Jankto is just 21, and has to focus on developing his game further before thinking of a move to a bigger European side.
Jankto played 29 times for Udinese last season scoring five times, he has a contract with the club until 2021.
