Arsenal is reported to be planning a swoop for Ipswich youngster Tristan Nydam, according to the latest transfer rumours.
The Sun claims that Nydam has apparently come to the attention of the Gunners and that they will be making a move for the 17-year old in the transfer window.
The England youth player is valued at £2 million, a figure that Arsenal is more than willing to pay.
Ipswich will be loathe to sell the youngster but they probably have very little choice in the matter considering that he has just 18 months left on his contract and is unlikely to sign an extension.
Arsenal has a reputation for snapping up exciting young players, however, it is not the often that they break into the first team at the Emirates and that may be the one sticking point for the central midfielder.
The choice for Nydam is quite simple really, does he stay with a Championship side and get more regular football or does he move to one of the biggest clubs in England with the risk of being stuck on the fringes?
