Arsenal has started the biggest bidding war of this deadline day after bidding £90 million for their long term target AS Monaco’s Thomas Lemar.
The Gunners have been tracking Lemar this summer and had bids of up to £40 million rejected by the French team.
AS Monaco have informed clubs that he is not for sale this summer, but Liverpool looked to have made them change their mind when they bid £72 million for the winger’s signature last night. The Reds medical team are also currently on standby in Paris to help the player through his medical when Monaco accepts their offer.
However, Arsenal appears to be preparing for the exit of Alexis Sanchez and have bid £90 million.
This changes everything about Lemar’s transfer and Monaco would expect Liverpool to match this offer or try to better it, Barcelona is also interested in Lemar and want to sign him if they fail to sign Philippe Coutinho.
