Man City, Arsenal and Juventus are all set to battle it out for teenage prodigy Pietro Pellegri following reports that Genoa has dropped the price from €45 Million to potentially €25 Million.
Just three months ago Genoa was demanding a huge amount for the 16-year-old but that frightened off all suitors and it now seems that the Serie A outfit has finally seen sense and opened the door with a more reasonable valuation.
It should also be noted that the touted figure of €25 Million is purely the baseline figure, there will be a whole host of add-ons depending on how well Pellegri does and the initial fee could easily rise once negotiations start.
Pep Guardiola and Arsène Wenger are both reportedly very keen on the teenage sensation but do face an uphill battle with Juventus seen as the front-runners.
Another factor that cannot be ignored is that Pellegri is just 16 and while payers of that age do move abroad it would be surprising if Juventus do not take advantage of the fact that they are Italian based.
No deal will be completed this winter but an agreement can be completed that sees a summer transfer.
