Arsene Wenger believes Arsenal is more appealing than himself and Transfer targets would consider the club’s reputation and not his when deciding whether to come or not.
This is in response to the fact that his future at the Emirates is unclear. The Frenchman’s contract is expiring this season, with fans calling for his sack, many believes the club should not offer him a fresh deal.
Wenger claims that a decision about his future has already been made by the club’s hierarchy but players and fans have not been informed of their decision yet.
He is however sure that any decision on his future will have limited impact on the players whom the club would want to sign. According to him Arsenal is a world class brand, and players don’t sign for him, they sign for the club.
Despite calls for him to resign his position as head coach of the Gunners, Wenger insists that he is still passionate about the club, and is capable of bringing glory to the Enirates.
Arsenal are in action on Sunday against Man City, this is a must win game if they want to end in the top four.
