Arsenal’s failure to close out a deal with As Monaco for the transfer of Thomas Lemar has attracted the interest of three more suitors, and that could drive his transfer fee up.
The Gunners have had three bids rejected by AS Monaco for Lemar, and are reportedly preparing a fourth and final bid worth £50 million for the 21 years old.
Mirror Sports is reporting that Liverpool, Barcelona, and Manchester City have now joined in his chase.
Barcelona, armed with cash from the sale of Neymar has made contact with the winger’s representative about a move to the Nou Camp. This is said to have brought a change of heart from Monaco who is now ready to cash in and let him join the highest bidder.
Jurgen Klopp wants more players in his team after seeing Adam Lallana ruled out for the next three months, while Pep Guardiola is yet to replace either of Nolitto or Jesus Navas whom he allowed to leave on a free this summer.
Lemar can play through the middle or on either side of attack, and this versatility is said to have impressed Guardiola the most.
