Reports from Spain are claiming that Arsenal are on the verge of landing Real Madrid Colombian star James Rodriguez. The Gunners have tried to sign the South American twice in the past.

When the Colombian was at FC Porto, the Gunners tried to sign him, but he chose to go to Monaco. In 2014 when he wanted to move from Monaco, the Gunners competed with real Madrid for his signature, but he again decided to snub the Gunners. Arsenal believe that now is the best time for them to land the player, even though they are not his only suitors.

Rodriguez looks to be certainly on his way out of the Bernabeu, after admitting that he wants to play regular football. The Colombian has been linked with other English teams, Man Utd, Liverpool and Chelsea in the past, but Arsenal seem to have the upper hand now.

Real Madrid bought James Rodriguez for £65 Million after he stared at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, but it is believed that a deal in the region of £47 Million will be enough for Madrid to sell.
