Arsenal has continued their bid to secure the future of some of their stars ahead of the new season. The Gunners are planning to overhaul their playing squad this summer, as they look to get straight back into the Champions League.
The Gunners are willing to listen to offers for some of their players this season as they look to free up funds for the signing of others. However, one player who they will not be allowing to leave the Emirates is Alex Oxlaide Chamberlain.
The England international has just over a year left on his current deal and is attracting the interest of the Gunner’s rivals like Liverpool and Chelsea.
Chamberlain currently earns around £70,000 per week, the Gunners are looking to take that sum up to around £100,000 per week and keep him at the Emirates until at least 2022.
Jurgen Klopp is a known admirer of Chamberlain, and would still love to sign him despite completing a deal for AS Roma’s Mohammed Salah.
Antonio Conte also thinks Chamberlain would add speed to his central midfield position ahead of next season.
